Yeah, then they killed jobs by putting their billions behind keeping casino jobs out of Rockaway Beach and then killed a bunch of people on their duckboat that got run over then crashed the Branson Belle on the rocks so people spent a freezing night on their derelict ship. Great bunch!
Love silver Dollar City and their whole group. Very entertaining and often educational. The company goes out of their way to help you have a good time at a reasonable cost.
@dishesdealer417 Branson is a Christian based community, and casinos aren’t very family friendly. The Ride the Ducks and Branson Belle accident were purely ACCIDENTS. They didn’t purposely plan all that stuff just so people like you can sit around and find things to complain about.

They spend their money so that they keep competition for jobs out so they can pay bottom dollar for employees at their workplaces. If they had spent enough on maintenance & training then the duckboat & branson belle “accidents” wouldn’t have happened. Apparently YOU are not an american or you would know we have freedom of religion and there is no such thing as an offically “christian” community,. The United States Constitution calls for separation of church & state.
SDC is a wonderful family experience. I appreciate the Christian values and the willingness of the Herschends to keep it that way. If they kept gambling out of Rockaway Beach good for them. They provide great service to thier customers and make gthem feel valued. Interesting how they provided a free meal those stuck on the showboat, refunded ticket prices, and then gave the guests a free SDC season pass. I love the Christmas Festival and the influence of Christianity surrounding it.
@dishesdealer417 Putting a casino in Branson would be the WORST thing to do because Branson is a family friendly place and that is why a lot of families chose to spend vacations there because of the family friendliness. I know there is no officialy Christian communities, but comparing Branson to certain places, you’ll get my point. And I AM an American. Accidents happen. That’s it. No matter how much training, you can not stop certain accidents from happening.
